Rear sawy bar endlink

I have noticed some noises coming from my 2008 G35xs and recently replaced the front passenger sway bar endlink. Now I am getting what seemes to be similar noises coming from the rear. My question is how much slop should there be in the endlink. both side move relatively freely and I am thnking it may be time to replace them. I didnt notice this sound coming from the rear until after I changed the front.

Should not move at all under load, if that's what you mean. Infiniti has a "load spec" for which the bolt should move under a certain pulling force.

Sway bar endlinks do wear out or maybe the bolts fail from all the stress! Endlinks s/b be super tight similar to wheel lugs! I replaced mine years ago with new Power Grid endlinks using -8 grade nut/bolts to eliminate the thought of failure...ever!

So I changed out the other 3 end links today. And I am still getting the same noise. It's a clunking noise but it's not all the time. It seems like it happens when load shifts from one side to the other. Other than the noise the car handles fine and still drives great even with 197k miles. Anyone have ideas what needs to be replaced?

If you can reproduce the issue from the ground by rocking the vehicle then just call around to a lube shop with a pit and find someone that will accept a little cash for a "diagnostic". Drive onto the lube pit, rock the vehicle and have them tell you exactly where the noise is coming from.
