Spring rates for coilovers

I have a 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6mt with Stance Super Sport SS True Coilovers with 12k front and 8k rear spring rates. I would like to make my ride more comfortable and softer. I don't track the car, and the car is lowered about 1.5 inches. I do enjoy spirited driving. I have been looking at Swift Springs, but I want to make the right choice in terms of spring rates. Is it okay to pick a spring rate that's about 4k less stiff or will it cause issues for the coilover's dampening valve?
