Race brake pads on rear only??

I'm getting tired of getting the brake pads replaced after every track event. Since I've replaced the rears 3 times and fronts once, I was wondering the issues behind putting race pads only on the rears for the track days. This may actually take some of the (overly) rear brake bias out of the car since the front's softer compound will bite more than the rear pads. May cause the fronts to wear faster I suppose. I guess the only to find out is to try it.

This is suprising. It's the front brakes that should be doing the lions share of the work. I wonder why your rear brake pads are wearing out faster? The only thing I can think of is VDC and/or Traction Control. So your thinking of using stock OEM front pads and a more agressive race pad in the rears for track days?

I don't think I'm the only one running into this. I've read the G35 has more rear bias than is typical.

brakes

i did a track day last week and the rears melted after one session just like i read on some other post. I have not decided what to go with, project mu bforce, potterfield. I go back in october. The O5 pads are super soft in back to make it not squeek. 121.00 at dealer for crap. I never had vdc on for one second, never kicked in car was great and easy to transition. I do have stillen ft/bk sways set in middle and the car was very neutra.
