03 g35 handbrake light doesn’t engage

Hello. So I started my car after a while. And noticed that my “brake” light doesn’t come on when the e brake is engaged. Did numerous searching but only found those whose light stays on. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks. Also I know it isn’t the bulb because it does illuminate it I put the key into the “on” position and e brake does hold the car so it is functional. But why doesn’t it show up on dash?....

There is a e-brake switch that contacts the handle (6mt) or pedal (5at). If that switch is stuck closed, I think that would explain why the light doesn't come on.
With my '04 G, even if I barely touch the e-brake pedal, the light on the dash will illuminate FYI

Thanks! I will check it out. It’s a 6MT.
