Ok so i was driving down the highway and the trailer of a big truck on the passenger side i was pushed into the barrier wall on the left side breaking my left front rim and bending something in the left rear.. I think this because my car is really squirrely... I replaced my rims so i know this aint the issue... When i look at my wheels the left rear seems to be turned inward and to the right.. Also the camber control arm seems to be bent... I have an 07 g35 and comparing the parts tells me i may be right... But the 06 is adjustable like a tierod and the 04 is not... Looking around ive also noticed that some of these control arms are strait and some have a bend allbeit not as bad. Comparing both of my g35s and my 08 350z. Only confuses the issue.. So i guess my question is this... My 07 is basicly a parts car... And not only is it in very good condition but the parts on it are better... But as you will see in the pictures my 04 has a different style of nonadjustable control arms... Right rear 04.. Nothing happened to this wheel at all Left rear 04.. Hit a barrier wall at 60ish after being bounced off a big trucks trailer when the wind blew it over Another angle of left rear The suspect control arm The side that didnt hit anything... Its got a bend but not like the other side... Left side of the parts car
ok so i messed up during the uploading process and I can't figure out how to go back and edit the pictures now so also it's in here are pictures of the broken rim to illustrate how hard I hit the wall and parts that I found on Amazon that I've been trying to compare it to. Now my question is are the suspension parts interchangeable. And as anybody else have an opinion that something is bent Left side of the 350z Right side of 350z
The 350 has the same control arms but they are much less bent
You didn't mention anything else about the '07, if it's a coupe then yes it has the same suspension as the '04 (sport model has thicker sway bar and different spring rates but the camber arms are the same). If it's a sedan then it's the V36 platform which is different than the V35 platform..
It's common for the camber arms to die like that when you hit something, they're cheap, or buy adjustable ones like a camber kit. Either way the car will need to go on an alignment rack.
Most aftermarket camber arms are straight and have a turnbuckle adjuster, some like the ones you looked at are bent.
EDIT: The '08 350Z has a different suspension like the V36 platform G.
