Recently bought an 05 G35 Coupe 6MT. The car had an extremely loose and non functioning parking brake. I had this issue fixed by a mechanic who replaced the rear shoes. The parking brake now functions but the BRAKE dash light still does not appear when engaged. The BRAKE light is still good, as it does light up on the dash when the ignition is turned to ACC/ON. Has anyone dealt with this issue? Any help towards a solution would be greatly appreciated.

 

There's an electrical switch on the handle right in front of where it pivots, he probably knocked the connector off when he was adjusting the nut for the handle.

If you remove the access cover for the adjuster nut you can probably see that harness, it's just a single wire.
