I am in the process of installing the 03/04 OEM Brembo brakes onto my 05 sedan 6mt. I am planning to use the original set for the winter and the Brembo for summer. Becuase of this I have new pads for both and compared the two.

The 05 discs and the Brembo discs are nearly the same size. However, the pads for the rear are quite different. The Brembo pads are much larger. The pad is much wider and longer. The front pad size is not drastic, but the Brembo is still larger, maybe half an inch longer and the width is very close.

Overall, the 05 Brakes look to be a good addition. The benefits of the Brembo are the pad selection, rear pad size, ease of changing pads, rotor selection and of course, good looks. If I had an 03/04 I would change the fronts to the 05 from someone upgrading to a BBK and search for a rear set of brembo brakes... maybe. Having said all this, I am no expert and I did not take measurements other than eyeballing it.

Were braided stainless lines included as part of the OEM Brembo option? If not, that is something I would definitely install.

 

They were not, but I bought a set from 350Evo along with the sways.
