i've noticed that the brembo brakes that i have on an 03 g35 tend to squeak a lot... and also leave tons of brake dust. is this normal? has anyone found a quick or easy solution to this nagging problem? thanks in advance~!!!

yea its the pads that squeek and give hella brake dust. I believe hawk still squeeks a little but the brake dust is reduced drastically.

Hose down your brakes. Dirty brakes squeak. Also, maybe your pads are worn down and warning indicator is scraping.

Change your pads (i.e. get new ones) and then properly bed them.

properly bed them.
that is the root cause of squeaking, make sure you bed them properly. Try to keep them clean dust will lead to squeaks too.

I'll ask for myself and others who also don't know but are afraid to ask.

"bed them properly"? Can one of you please explain this process for us that are not as mechanically knowledgable.

Thanks in advance.

The noise sounds like pads that aren't making full contact. Check them out...

Can't you warp your brakes if you spray water on them while they are hot?

Give that man a cigar! That's why it's not recommended to wash your car after a nice drive. Not only would you risk your brakes warping, but your rotors cracking.
