A popular pad that alot of people seem to like is the Hawk HPS pads. I think it has less intial bite than the OEMs but dusts much less.

agreeing to dklau, your best bet is Hawk HPS. Though, I had problems with replacing OEM pads to HP+ pads in my Brembo brake calipers. Sedan owners might've had better luck than I.

Here's food for thought, ceramic pads emmit less dust, needs more heat to bite, doesnt eat up the rotors as bad, and dont induce brake squeal like metallic does.

Some owners have used EBC greenstuff pads. I am not sure how they compare to the Hawk pads.

I've had EBC greenstuff on my previous car and they dusted just as bad or worse than the OEM G35 pads. Not sure how the ones for the G35 are though.

636 made a good suggestion as well with the ceramic pads since they are pretty cheap, dust less, and more rotor friendly. There's Satisfied Pro, Akebono, and Hawk Performance Cermaic to name a few. The Hawk Ceramic pads are a bit pricey for their category but they do claim to perform better than your average ceramic pad while still retaining the advantages. Might be something worth checking out.

Ra;ybestos and Wagner also make good pads, including ceramics for a little less than the 'performance' name brands. Also widely available at Auto Parts stores.
