New Coupe on way,my question is .......

Excitedley looking orward to new 6MT due any day now.
Really like how these Coupes look when MINIMALLY lowered........(I'm old and "radical" days are behind me,heh, heh) ..... my question IS, what springs will give me noticeable drop WITHOUT having to resort to camber kit? I'm not interested in changing ride quality or excesive tire wear. First off is it really possible to do with guarantee that realignment will bring car back to factory specs?
Also, just read thread on Espelier (sp?) springs. Anyone think they are way to go to achieve above?
Please give me some good advice and favorite source for your suggestions and many thanks for your help!

03' OE Z Springs

I'm about to install 03' OE Z Springs. I was told that they generally drop the coupe 1/2" all around, but someone who actually did the swap dropped 3/4"F and 3/8"R. This is exactly what I'm looking for. I hope I get the same result. He reported that the camber was still within spec. No additional components required. Cheap way of doing it to. I got my springs for $40 w/ only 1,500 mi on them. I'm not sure how much install wil be.

Thanks Piero. This sounds perfect. Has anyone else gone this route and would you comment, please.
Also,if I were to go thru Nissan for these springs wouldn't there be diference between various Z models?
Inother words which Z springs would I order?
>I'm diggin' it 3/4 and 3/8 R just perfect for "seniors"....LOL.

OE Z Springs

You want to buy any 03' or early 04' OE Z springs. These have the exact same spring rates as your current OE G Springs and they are linear springs, the OE Z springs changed for 04.5 models. Higher rear spring rate. You will not feel a difference in the ride quality. The best part is that the OE G shocks will not even notice a difference since the spring rates don't change.

If you get any other springs (higher spring rates than OE) you will need to change the shock. Even if they change a little.

This is why I think this is the best solution, cheap, easy and no problems! Looks good too IMO.

PM me your e-mail address and I will send you a pic of a coupe on 03' OE Z springs.

I almost forgot, new front and rear springs from nissan will cost you $200 + shipping. Check my350Z.com for a good used set w/ low mi., should run you about $50 + shipping.

Piero

I'm new around these parts and for some reason can't click your profile.
Here's a couplaquikies. What year is your Coupe? Might spring rates on newer ('05 and '06) coupes be "firmer".... that is what I heard. I have a line on some used 350 's for 40 biucks but they are coming off '05 Z. Might newer Z springs "match" newer "G" springs?
Anyhow you've been a big help and here's my E-Mail .... if you have pics and further communication I'd like to chat with youI havethe Freebie LDstuff so I'd instigate call w/your permission.Thanksfor the help! [email]coester@webtv.net EMAIL CORRECTED

Your right! I guess I was assuming you had an 04' Coupe. "New Coupe on the Way", I missed that!

If you have an 05' or 06' coupe get the 04.5' or 05' OE Z springs. $40 is a good price. 314F/427R OE Rates.

If you have an 03' or 04' coupe get the earlier Z springs. 314F/342R OE Rates.

Your e-mail addy is not working.
