Does anyone know whether the springs from an 05 coupe with sport suspension will fit on a 03 coupe 6MT? The reason I ask is b/c I have a subwoofer in the back of my 03 coupe and this seems to weigh down the back so that it is front is higher than the front, also I get considerable sinking feeling when accelerating because of the extra weight in the trunk. In order to rectify this I am thinking I could put the rear springs and struts from an 05 sport suspension. I have read that the spring rates for the rear springs of an 05 are like 424 verses 2003 coupe rear which is only 342 or something. Therefore the 05 coupe rear springs are stiffer and will probably help fix my problem since they will support the extra wieght better. Has anyone done this or know if this is possible? If so I would also be needing to find someone willing to sell their 05 sport suspension. Would really appreciate some help with this issue.

 

Yes, you have the right idea. You'll want to install the '05 sport suspension rear springs and rear shocks together. The spring rate is higher so theoritically it should help in your situation. The only question is are the '05 rear sport springs the same height as the '03 coupe rear springs? I have not seen or ready anything that would say otherwise.

 

Thanks for your reply. Yes, that is another this I was wondering whether they are the same height. I wonder if anyone else has come across this issue. I am sure theere are a bunch of g35 drivers with systems and subwoofers in their trunk. Does anyone know if the 05 coupe springs and shocks are the same height as the 03 coupe set up?
