you guys mention about replacing the rotors when you go in for a brake change....are our rotors not turnable? can't you just get them cut instead of replacing the entire rotor? I know benz and certain bmw you have to replace the rotor when you do a brake job...

I just got that horrible squealing from my front brakes last night on my way home from work. I called the dealer (thanks to all for your informative posts about the brake warranty) and they are going to repair under warranty. Unfortunately, I have to live with that horrible sound until NEXT friday. Uuuuggh. My wife shot daggers at me with her eyes until I informed her of the warranty. If I had never read this forum, I would not have known of the brake issue. Thanks again.

I think spec on the rotor is 22mm or 23mm. If it's below that they will not turn them. I'd advise anyone close to the 36k limit to get them checked. In my case, the barely audible squeal went to obnoxious in less than a week leaving me not a lot of options to do something quickly besides going to the dealer (i.e. bend over).
