Here is our technical white paper about rear big brake kits
http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp...upgrades.shtml
In summary, rear kits will make pad changes easier, and offer more pad selection. Unless you have the brembo package in which case the rear pad selection will be the same. Oh yeah, it also looks good.
From a performance aspect, the stock rear brakes are adequate on your car.
In terms of wheel fitment, you will probably want to check this link. http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wheel_fitment.shtml
Other members probably have more info about wheel fitment.

Btw, I have a 2005 G35 Coupe and I just ordered a BBK from stoptech. If you have a 2005, don't order your kit yet. My rears did not fit. The caliper adaptor bracket does not have the same hole spacing as the 2003/2004s. I'm taking my car in to StopTech on Wednesday to have them measure my car. Hopefully they'll have the right bracket completed by the beginning of next year.

damn cheston, beat me in replying to my own post. yeah I bought the 4 wheel 13 inch, not 13 or 14 foot kit....hehe, just being nit picky. Btw, after talking to stoptech, they said that the front piston sizing for my kit may be incorrect, so even though it fits, it may not be the right size for our 2005s. Once I get all the info from StopTech, I'll post about it and let everyone know.

if you have maya rt5s 19 inches and want the 14 inch bbk on front and bank; you will need spacers and lug extenders, otherwise the wheel will hit the brakes -- I just learned the hardway -- install is starting up again on Friday -- hopefully
FYI -- I got my kit from Coz. and based on my discussions, I thought there would be no problems. -- I was wrong and I don't blame Coz -- he gave me a sweet deal.

In my case, the caliper bracket stoptech sent me was incorrect which is why it didn't fit. luckily for me, stoptech is about 5 miles from my house, so I was able to drop off my car with them to have them check it out. They still have my car and are doing some testing on it to determine if the front piston sizing is correct, but it looks like the rear setup will be okay. I'll know more later today I think.

So I got my car back from stoptech and everything worked out great. They installed the rear ST-22 kit and my car is working out just fine. I'm ready for my track event this saturday. I guess it turned out that the piston sizing for the fronts was adequate. What this comes down to is that the 2005s will work with the stoptech kits, I just happend to get the wrong part and since no one tried it on a 2005 before, they figured it wouldn't work. However, if you talk to stoptech, they know whats up now and you shouldn't have any problems. the 2005's changed the calipers and rotors, but not the mounting points. Since this stoptech kit fits on both the 2004s and 2005s, then I also know that the 2005 stock brakes will work on the 2003/2004s. I'll be selling my old stock brakes btw if anyone is interested.
