Taking Brembo caliper off

For any of you that have taken the rotors off your car with the Brembo calipers. What is the easiest way to get the caliper off. I took a qiuck look and it looks like the two bolts on the back to the spindle. Is that right or is there an easier/better way? And do the rotors slide off once the caliper is away or are they held on by a center wheel nut?

I need to have them turned as the stock pads have run their short lifespan of 35.5K miles.

Anyway, any comments before I get dirty this weekend is appreciated. Thanks.

You got good life out of your pads. I changed my fronts like at 25k or so, and my rears at 27k. But that includes a few track days.

Anyhow, to remove the calipers, you need to just remove those two bolts holding it in the back. They are 19mm. And yes, once you remove the calipers, the rotors will slide right off.

i reccomend unbolting the brake line. there are two 12 mm bolts holding the brake line on. this allows for easier movement of the caliper onces it is off.

the two bolts holding the caliper on the spindle are 22mm for the front or 19mm for rears.

Once removed, you may have to struggle a little to get the caliper off the rotor. after that, the rotor should easily come off. if not, just take a rubber mallet and smack around the lugs to free it loose. pretty easy taking off the caliper.

I wouldn't remove the brake line. You don't need to completely remove the caliper to take the rotor off. Just take the caliper off and move it out of the way. If you remove the brake lines, then you have to bleed them later and stuff making it more work thats unnecessary.

I think he was talking about just loosening up the clamps that secure the brake line from movement but not disconnecting it from the caliper to give it a little play. Yes, I saw that also, thanks for the all your advice, that's about what I thought when I first looked.
