uhm, can you fit 22s on a sedan?

nm, good luck on this one. just you're tire size alone you'd be larger by almost 2". according to miata.net you're speedometer would be 7.4% too slow.

That's the LEAST of the worries putting that size/weight wheel tire on
the car.
Be more concerned that your braking distances are going to increase
by a large amount, that SO MANY parts of the car are suddenly going
to get HUGELY overburdened by the extra weight and mass that any number
of things could fail and cause a major accident.

Oh, and don't be surprised if it VOIDS the warranty on nearly EVERY drivetrain part on the car as upsizing more than 2 sizes usually will do that on many cars from many car manufacturers since it puts such a strain on so many mechanical parts that weren't intended for that kind of abuse.

And why stop there, weld on some steel spikes to those spinners,
see if he can hit 100 pounds per wheel/tire.

that is weak, why did you buy a G? there is nothing "sporty" about 22s. Plus its not that tight when your wheels cost as much as your car.

Maybe if you drove a 7.45 man, but not on a G. bad aesthetics to begin with
