Please correct me if I'm wrong... I understood that no matter how hard the bolts are tighten at the hinges, all the weight of the car that is being tossed around will cause a little play.

Also, this was nearly a decade ago, but from what I remember, I once had a 3 peice stb and a one peice on my older car. And the difference was night and day. I had a EK civic, and the difference from stock to 3 peice was equal difference from 3 peice to my one peice mugen stb.

Again, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I got a 5/16 MD spacer. With just that little of a difference in height, my engine cover rubs against the underside of the hood cover. I had to shave the engine cover's underside padding so it sits lower. Theres just not enough room over the plenum. VRT's way is the only way to do it.... under and around the plenum.

here is a closer look of the ARC strut bar... took the pic today at the Performance Nissan meet. I'm not sure whose car it was, but the location/position of the strut bar looks good to me

does anyone know more info about this strut bar???

Richie, thanks for the pics! And this was with the stock hood? Do you know if drilling was required to hook up the mounting bracket to the shock tower? Or does it use the stock bolt locations?

yes, I believe that was a stock hood.

but im not sure if it requires any drilling.... once we find out whose the owner, he can probably answer all those questions =)

But I doubt it'll work with an aftermarket plenum or a plenum spacer

yea, i just ordered mine two days ago from SP engineering. from the looks of the post i won't be getting it for a good 12 weeks! i am gonna have to take off my spacer though....

yea i sold the kit, i just got headers, spacer, and stb but i'm gonna have to sell my spacer when my stb comes in.
