Rotor upsize on 04 Sedan 5AT?

Rotor upsize on 04 Sedan 5AT?
Can rotor be upsize on 04 sedan? I was told by sales at infiniti that by going with larger rotor and harder compound pads its smooth out the braking action without little effect to the stopping distants.
