My rotors turn yellow when they're wet.

Like right now in the rain, and after car washes etc etc, of course it goes away after braking... but can somebody explain why the rotors turn yellow?? o.O?

Surface rust. No need to worry. It is an untreated metal surface, after exposure to moisture they begin to rust but braking will scrape it off.

Rotors are made of iron. Oxygen in the air oxidizes iron, creating rust. It is normal and does not hurt anything. If you don't like rust, you could order some carbon ceramic rotors, but those are $$$$.

Or you could get stainless steel ones, but thats also $$$$, Anyway its normal

yea, i've ALWAYS have that problem when im washing the G. ticks the fudge out of me cuz my wheels are a PITA to clean lol

but yes, its rust...
