More cushy ride for G coupe?

I know most people on here are looking for a more controlled ride when cornering hard, but I would like a more luxury type ride. Does anyone have a suggestion for a spring change that would offer a softer, less bouncy ride? I had a feeling that I should not have gotten a car with the Sport suspension package, but now that I'm stuck with it, can I get a set of springs that would take some of the jarrrrrrring out?

Different tires, I've heard a lot of people complaining the stockers have an extremely stiff side wall.

Already changed the wheels from 19s to 17s with Goodyear GS-D3s. That helped some, but I'd like to go further, if possible.

Excellent idea! If they had made a coupe when I was in the market for a car, I probably would have. Probably going to have to check into getting non-sport suspension pieces.

Is it really that much of a difference between sport package and non sport?

I really have no idea, but I would think there would be some difference. Maybe in combination with the tire and wheel change I've already made, it would take out some of the sharpness of reaction to some of the more severe road irregularities. No matter how much we pay in taxes, it seems the roads just get worse every year. I remember when we could ride rigid frame choppers without getting a concussion at every bump.

I'd go and test drive one without the sports package, before you actually throw more money at the problem.

Oh yeah, that thought occurred to me already. Thanks

What got me thinking about this possibility in the first place was reading the sticky on springs. When talk of progressively wound springs started, that got me to thinking that some of them might be the answer to my situation. A slight drop would be the only problem, since that would probably add to the problem, even if the spring rate helped.

That would probably work, but another car might be cheaper.

A. Get Tokico shocks.
B. Get either Swift for Coupe Springs, RSR for Coupe Springs, Tein H TEchs for Coupe, or Tanabe NF210 springs for Coupe. Those are all softer spring rates then stock.

I just purchased the Tanabe NF210 springs for my coupe, I'll be sure to comment on them as to whether or not they stiffen or soften the ride when I get them installed.

Now, that's the kind of info I was hoping to get. I suppose you're talking about the Tokicos with the adjustable dampening, correct? From reading the sticky, those were the choices that struck me as being what might do the job, but it never hurts to have validation.
