brembos vs stock brakes
brembos vs stock brakes
just wondering wat are the pros and cons of havin the brembos compared to the stock brakes which came on the newer models..of course i know the brembos brake better and cool down faster, but also they have more wear and tear and are more costly to replace right?? another plus with the stocks is that you can run a bigger dish..i'm more into looks than performance, and hardly do any hard driving which would require a kick *** brake setup and am thinkin i'd rather have a bigger dish instead..hehe some of u guys will probably think thats crazy..but give me ur opinions please
i've got the brembos and they work great. No more wear and tear than on the stock calipers. It all depends on how you drive, and if your into looks why would'nt you want them? I've got a 2 1/2" lip on the front and 3 3/4" on rear. -Dave
If looks are important the Brembo is a no brainer. Of course there are other options out there too.
Wear and tear is no more than stock IMHO so far.
Benefit is lots of noting and compliments from other drivers on the "aftermarket Brembo brakes"

I have an 03 5AT and I know that I'm never going to track my G and I'm happy with the way the stock brakes stop the car. I'm planning on getting the OEM 19's to put on, but it definitely shows the brakes more than my stock 17's. Like 808, I'm looking for ideas to make them look good behind the 19's. Can we put bigger rotors using the stock calipers? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Do you guys have any specific suggestions, pics would be nice. Obviously, I don't have brembos but I like the look.
Thanks,
Les
