I know a lot of people on this forum buy pre-owned G35C, they have great deals on them with low mileage so... I picked one up around maybe 4 months ago with 25k miles.

I think my front brakes are almost done at 30k, no signs of wear... I mean no vibrating, no squeels but I'm going to say the pad is pretty worn down and I could maybe squeeze another 3-4k on them.

Should Infiniti replace my brake pads for free? I mean, I bought the car in the winter so as soon I purchased it, I had to go out and dump 1k on snow setup, now brake pads after less than half a year of purchase?

Anyone buy pre-owned G35's around 30k or so and had to replace brakes themselves right after? IMO, The dealership should replace my brakes for free.

 

What year and model? 03, 04 AT's brakes are covered for 36K miles i believe. Tell them it squeaks randomly, etc.

 

It was up to you to have the car checked out, and to have the issues identified before settling on a price, so I don't think you'll have any luck getting Infiniti to buy you new brake pads.

Yes, Infiniti did sent out a letter to all owners of '03 and '04 Sedan owners and all '03 and '04 AT Coupe owners. It stated that the brakes are covered under warranty for 3 years or 36k miles from the date of purchase. That's only if the pads and/or rotors are worn down to the minimum spec. So if your pads and/or rotors are truely worn down to spec and your coupe is an '03 or '04 AT you are covered.

 

We primarily repair older out of warranty 2nd owner Lexus/Infiniti at 3 ATL locations.
Amazing how many people buy a used car [under warranty or not] without paying an EXPERT to fully analyse what they are buying. The results are not pretty as any used car needs work............knowing what to ask for a dealers is the trick.

There is a reason 3 year old cars can be purchase for up to half off. [Infiniti doesn't depreciate quite that badly].

 

04 Coupe 6MT so I don't know if they cover the brembo's.. but not out of warranty I'm thinking they should do it out of courtesy

 

The one that gets the most courtesy is the one that spends the money.
Nissan makes a profit, dealer makes a profit in new car sales.

With used how a dealer reacts is based on the future potential profit either from warranty or customer paid [they like customer paid better].

You always bring the car in for frequent dealer oil changes to set the stage, create a track record for future after warranty requests/help.
