Anybody try 300ZX calipers?

Just wondering if anyone has tried 300ZX calipers on non-Brembo equipped G's. I know the 240 guys do it all the time.

Any heavier thicker 28-30mm front rotor will be an improvemnt [not necessarily quicker street stopping] over light duty oem in the earlier models of G35 without Brembo.

Why not look at the 2006 G35 setup.

Is there any differences in the brakes between the '05 and '06 models?

I know there is a difference between the 03/04 vs '05+

I did that on my old 240 and the brake setup was very inexpensive. I hope someone tries it on our G35s.

It would be great if you can just slap the caliper on.

Question: The stock G35 brembo's fit directly onto any G35 body, right? So, what is the spacing between the 2 bolts that hold G35 calipers in place?

If we knew the spacing then we can retrofit any 4 pot caliper with the same spacing, no?

There are a bunch of porsche brembo calipers on ebay that would look great on our cars for a low cost. Of course the disc has to be the same width, or we could probably use another disc.

I've seen crazy setups using 3000GT VR4 discs and Supra TT 4 pot calipers before, so other retrofits can be done.

Anybody care to discuss?

Edit: The WRX STI brembos look VERY similar to stock G35 brembos - Anyone know if they are the same?

Um as far as using other maker's calipers. It's NOT just the bolt spacing and such. It's more like the caliper and rotor offsets that are important.

I remember seeing a member that put Evo Brembos on a G coupe...I think it was an IP G with red calipers...forgot his screen name though.

Both WRX STI Brembos and Mitsu Evo Brembos fit G35s?
