Question about stock rotors (03-04 AT)

I had my pads replaced and rotors turned/resurfaced around 12k miles on my G. My brakes were squeaking pretty badly and that was when the service was done. If I remember correctly around 25k miles my brakes were done again. The brake/slip/tcs light were all over the dash and would not turn off. So at 25k miles they gave me new pads and turned and resurfaced the original rotors a 2nd time. This made me a little upset because I felt I should have been given new rotors that time. The stock rotors are thin enough to begin with and mine have been resurfaced twice already.

Now at 32k miles on my car I am wondering what my options are as I am approaching the 36k brake warranty. I know my current pads are fine but I feel my rotors should be replaced before the warranty is up. In another 1k miles I will need to get an oil change and I am going to bring up the situation about the brakes. I think it is silly that my rotors were never replaced and instead resurfaced twice. I can ask them to measure the thickness of the rotor but will they also replace the pads if they are fine? (I would like to get even wear).

Anyone with some advice would be much appreciated.

There are many options available for rotors & pads. I have heard good things about the hawk pads on our oem rotors. You can change out the rotors later i think. The dealer is not going to replace the rotors at all. I am a little over 30k now and have had my pads changed three times now. The front pads are going at every 7 to 8k miles. I am thinking of upgrading my rotors to something else after the warranty goes out. I will let you know what I do.
Do a search on rotors and there are many great advise on rotors and pads. good luck.

Your front rotors have been resurfaced three times? I have read on here that people have had their rotors replaced before. I know mine must be thin and would like to have everything replaced one last time before the warranty is up.

I just took my 03 in for a check up on the brakes because I had 35, 600 miles on them. I complained about the noise they made occasionally and they inspected them. The verdict, 0% pad life and the rotors were thinner than spec....new pads and rotors compliments of the warranty.
