Need advice!

I am thinking of installing a set of 03 350Z oem shocks with 350Z Tein S-tech springs on a 04 G35 coupe, is that a good thing or not? or should I just install the 350Z Tein S-tech springs on the G35 shocks or just G35 S-tech springs. Thank you!

I'll try to say this and not make a long drawn out post, here goes.

What not to do.

Installing 03 350Z oem shocks with 350Z Tein S-techs:
I used to own a oem 03 350Z suspension until I sold it, and I still have another set of the shocks on hand that I will install now and then when needed so I can write review's from that prospective or baseline. While it's true that oem 03/04 Z shocks or suspension's can be purchased cheaply. In your case do not use them, even if they are sitting in your garage waiting to be installed. Oem 03/04 350Z shocks from the "unrevised" suspension feature valving that causes excess bounce and freeway porpoising, even with the use of progressive springs like Tein or Eibachs, this bad habbit is not cured.

Installing 350Z Tein S-techs with oem 04 coupe shocks:
To much spring, not enough shock. You are asking for issues that you may not realize right away, but they will be their. (that was easy )

Now we'll switch gears, kinda a need to know section.

350Z Tein S-techs vs G35 Tein S-techs:

Tein S-tech 350z (fronts are progressive, rears are linear)
.7”/.6” drop on 350Z **G35 coupe drop should be 1.2"/1.1"*
Spring rates in lbs 386/402 (final rates only, softer initial front progressive rate unknown)
Stiffer then oem 2004 coupe oem springs by F+23% R+16%

Tein S-tech G35 coupe (fronts are progressive, rears are linear)
1.2"/.9" drop on G35 coupe
Spring rates in LBS 358/274 (final rates only, softer intial front progressive rate unknown)
Stiffer or softer then 2004 coupe oem springs by R+14% R-18%

So, the drop you will get from either spring will be simular, with the Z S-techs giving a bit more rear drop. But, spring rate wise the two springs are very different.

What I would do with respect paid to the use of some oem parts.

350Z S-techs and 350Z oem shocks 04.5+ revised (only, no 03/04's)
350Z S-techs and Tokico D-specs (yes $$ but worth it)

G35 S-techs and your oem shocks
G35 S-techs and Tokico D-specs

Between the two springs, the Z S-techs will offer more sporting capibilities courtesy of their greater stiffness, especially in the rear, the catch being ride firmness goes up too. With the G35 S-techs you'll get some enhancement from the lowered center of gravity and 14% stiffer front springs, but their is still the issue of how soft the rear rate is, vs the Z S-techs, even vs oem.

Hope that helps.

Thank you so much, that's helps me alot. Becoz I am leaving the country soon, but I also want to lower the car for this summer, so I don't want to invest too much money on the suspensions. Thanks for your information anyways!
