Hey ya'll...

Has anyone had their Volk lips chromed? I have a cpl dings and no shop can match the anodizing process that Volk uses so I will have to get all 4 re-finished so they will match up.

I was thinking about chroming the lip which I think will look good and will also help reduce the sight of the break dust.

What ya think?

Update... I am doing it WTF, I think it will look great and I don't think anyone out there has Volks with chrome lips

hey i say go for it it will look really good. i had all four of my maya's redone, the only reason i ended up reanodizing the lip was because the anodizing they did ended up looking better than the original. i was leaning towards chrome but some shops told me the chroming these lips is harmful to the alum. chrome=less to maintain though

Are 2-piece Volks welded? If so, cant chrome them. I think it would look nice with chrome lip, if doable.

 

Volks that are 2 piece are not welded, so all you have to do is demount the tires, unbolt the centers and chrome the whole hoop. Then put the centers back in and remount and balance the tires and your done.
