Stillen sway bar install - part 2 (the front)
okay sorry for getting back to the update late... anyway got the front stillen sway bar installed on friday unfortunately, the weather was way bad here in sacramento area that night so no testing yet....
Drove the g's front onto rhino ramps and removed the lower engine cover panel to access the sway bar...
Removed endlink nuts on both sides (17mm socket or box wrench will do), pulled endlink bolts out and set endlinks away from swaybar....
removed the 6 frame mount bolts and 2 frame mount nuts holding the sway bar via bushings to the frame and pulled swaybar out to remove bushings for the new bar... installation of new swaybar is reverse of oem removal process... I used the middle holes when inserting the endlink bolts ( i wanted medium front/rear setup)... once everything is in and hand tight, i torqued all nuts and bolts to spec as shown on install sheet... the endlink nuts could not be torqued properly because the torque wrench could not fit where needed... i just did it as tight as i could with similar strength to doing wheel lug nuts (about 75 lb-ft) ....
i could not tested right afterwards until yesterday when i drove it to pick up a fellow member's used hks rear section muffler... the car feels flatter through some of the turns... i still need to take it through a clover leaf on/off ramp.... overall i do like to upgrade...
next on the list are 0em 350z springs and tokico d-specs....
oh yeah, i still gotta tint my windows too... after seeing myst's black g35 with 50% front/ 20% rear passenger/15% rear windshield, i'm going limo black or 5% on rears... i am considering doing 50% fronts too....
