05/06 brake qusetion. Need help
I have a great deal on a full set of 05/06 350Z brakes (rotors, calipers, brackets, pads and brake lines). Will they bolt up to my 04 G coupe?
I'm guessing you are talking about the revised non-brembo oem brakes right? If so, yes they should bolt up to your G. The only bad thing I don't like about the new, bigger, non-brembo brakes is that the aftermarket pad choices are zilch. Only Hawk HPS and Axxis Ultimates I think.

The other issue with putting the 05/06 G35 brake system onto the older cars it that since the calipers have much larger pistons, the pedal throw will increase making it seem like there is a soft pedal. The stability control systems may not function properly as more fluid is needed to operate the calipers.
Cars these days are becoming very complicated and modifications must be chosen properly or the car may end up with performance worse than stock.
Someone i know works for infiniti and told me that the 05-06 brakes are the same part numbers as the Q45 (not the current but the older one from few years back, the one that looks like the *** got choped at an angle) I'm sure the pads from that one could fit the 05.
I think the caliper should bolt up without any problems as long as you have the mounting brackets from the 05-06. From what i saw on my cars the 2 seem to have identical mounting points.

StopTech's 13" 4 wheel kit fits '03 to '06 for sure. I bought the kit when it was marked as '03/'04 and it fit properly on my '05, so that means the mounting points didn't change. They will physically fit, but if StopTech says to watch out, I'd listen.

Thanks for the replies.
To the guy from Stoptech, I met a guy who has actually done the swap on his 03 G35 and it works just fine. When your 4pot front and rear kits are installed these problems don't happen so why would they happen from Nissan factory parts? To install your kits, you don't have to change the master cylinder or power booster. Just do the install of the kit, bleed the lines and bed in the pads.
