wilwood 13.6" BBK arrived

Spacer is generally not recommanded, not to mention a 25mm spacer. I suggest that you change your wheel. I had the same problem when installing my bbk with my axis supermesh wheel (18*8, et 45). What you can do is to find wider wheel (8,5J) with smaller offset (et 35 or 38). And no deep lip wheel. Then you are OK.
Where is info on Wilwood
Fellow G owners,
I've gone to the wilwood website but i can't find any info on the kits specific to the g35. Didn't even find anything for the 350Z. I looked at all the different kits and nothing on our cars. Is this something that basically I have to call wilwood about? I have a sedan and reading ma sha1's post, i'm assuming he has a sedan as well. Just wondering if i am looking in the right place because i would like to get a price quote on a all 4 corners kit. Ma sha1 i may look into your kit. I have ADR sport classics with 44 offset, it may fit mine.

I just ordered 25mm spacer & will try hard before consider giving it up. I saw one guy on this board running a 25mm spacer on the rear.
25mm on the front is pretty big. To make it look flush with the stock wheel, 20mm is probably the max, but most go with 15mm. I would think there would be some rubbing in the front and you wheels might look weird if the fronts are pushed out more than the rear.
Wilwood does have an official kit for the Z, G35.

The dealer is concerned about safety for such thick spacer. I wind up
getting my car back with a $200 car wash & no BBK installed.
1. Does anyone know if running 25mm spacer with longer bolts is unsafe?
2. Will anyone willing to buy from me for the brand new set for $1250 incase
I decided to sell? My Super rozza with 50 off set & big lips is the problem.
The spokes goes in too much. The kit is made for Z & G coupe, where the front wheel well has more room.
help!

I spoke with dave yesterday at AZ Z car. After reading all the posts, it does look like a very good deal. He is a direct vendor for wilwood, he gets the calipers from them, the rest of the kit he builds at his own shop per wilwood specifications, therefore he is able to sell them cheaper than anyone else. One thing I was dissapointed with, he only gets black calipers. So if you want red ones, get yourself some break paint. They are 13.06" rotors, not the 13.6" someone mentioned earlier and 1.38" thick. I got a quote on a all-4-corners kit, 13" rotors all around $2246 plus $65 shipping. That's almost the price of the Brembo GT front kit for our cars. Now I did not ask if that was a 6 piston or 4 piston front caliper. The kits, as the site states, come with all the gear needed, stell braided brake lines, nuts n bolts, mounting brackets, brake pads, etc. Doesn't seem like a bad deal at all, but the dilemma I have is if it will fit my sedan and not run into ma sha1's problem. I spoke with dave about it and he said i would need about an inch and a half clearance from the face of the rotor and where the wheel meet. To me it looks like i have just over an inch, so i may need a spacer. I asked if i could return the item if i run into fitment issues and he promptly said NO. That right there does not sound to good to me. He should be able to offer a full refund. Take it for what it's worth and shop at your own convenience.
13.06 not 13.6. See wilwood.com

I did some weight in, Here are some stats:
Stock Rotor each: 11.75" /16.3lbs
Wilwood Rotor each; 13.6" 14.3 Lbs /2 piece w Alu. hat
Grow 2 inches & Shave 2lbs rotating mass (Also unsprung weight)
Stock Caliper each: ~14lbs/single piston
Wilwood Caliper Each; 4.8 Lbs, 4 piston
(add 1lb for Aluminum adaptor ~5.8lbs)
Gain 3 pistons & Shave another 8lbs unsprung weight
I wonder besides the BBK upgrade on performance,
what kind of feel I'll get on shaving 10lbs unsprung weight per corner.
Can't wait!

+50 is too high of an offset with or without BBK.

If you want a BBK on a sedan you need to get the right wheels that will clear it. In general terms you should be able to clear BBK with a +32 to +38 offset on a 8" to 8.5" wheel with certain spokes or with wheels that have no lip.

Just wondering if this will do before i spend $2300 plus without a return guarantee. Thanks

It may fit the diameter, but I doubt the BBK will allow the wheel to mount. I tried to fit the OE Brembo on my sedan and the stock 18's had no chance of clearing the calipers.

Thanks very much for the many posts and questions about the brake kit we offer for G35-350Z. I have been making racing brake kits for Nissan sports cars for well over 20 years and have sold thousands of kits in 2 dozen countries worldwide (no exaggeration) The silver 350Z on my website is one of my personal cars and has been my brake test-bed for over a year.
I have just registered with G35DRIVER so I can answer some of your questions directly and correctly. Later this weekend I will post on the rear kit
($795 pr.) and also a step by step install.

All parts are BRAND NEW.
The front kit price is $1395 for the pair, this price includes 2 6-PISTON BILLET CALIPERS, 2 ROTOR ASSEMBLIES, 2 BRACKETS, 2 BRAKELINES, PADS, AND ALL THE REQUIRED NUTS, BOLTS, LOCKWASHERS , AND FLATWASHERS.
Here's some pictures of the components:
The caliper pistons are stainless steel.
Note how thick the pads are!

The brackets have pressed in steel inserts for the cailper bolts so stripping isn't an issue. All the hardware is grade 8 or better and zinc plated.

The front rotor is 13.06" diameter, 1.38" thick, as you can see the vents are huge! Note the beautifully sculpted rotor center NOT THE GENERIC ONE SIZE FITS ALL STUFF SOLD ELSEWHERE.

We have the best quality brakelines made for me specifically for my kit with the correct fittings.

This kit is completely BOLT-ON with no modification made to the spindle or car.
The caliper overhangs the mounting surface of the wheel by approx 1.5 inches so check your wheels for clearance. I dont accept returns on brake kits since we would never resell a kit that had been installed. I would not want to take a chance that someone had damaged or contaminated any of the parts.
I accept VISA/MC by phone or E-mail or you can send check or money order.
I normally use UPS ground for shipping and it's usually less than $50 per kit.
I usually have the kits in stock and it takes a just day or two to box 'em up and ship 'em out.
