certain brands will ruin it. choose from Tein, Tanabe, Espelir, RSR, and Eibach.

If you already have the sport suspension, Teins won't be too much stiffer than that. I have Tein S Techs on my G and it is just a bit stiffer. I can't comment on the other springs though.

you're exactly right...if you lower your car with ANY springs and keep the stock struts, they will go bad eventually. oem struts werent designed to handle the additional compression of aftermarket springs. obviously if you go with something that lowers more aggresively like tein s techs or eibach sportlines, the wear will be sooner than later.

look for linear not progressive springs with rates that aren't much higher than stock and your ride quality will not be compromised very much (and your struts will not wear out much faster)

agreed...linear all the way. i'd go with 350z tein h techs... the g35 h techs have too soft of a spring rate for the rears.

or go with 05+ oem 350z (revised) springs.... they should lower the coupe about 1/2 all around.... you'll keep stock spring rate.......

get springs with rates in the mid 300lbs/in. that'll keep it nice and comfy.

I bought s-techs for my sedan and have been holding off installing because i havent picked up shocks yet. Would revised or unrevised 350 shocks be able to handle the compression of the sedan stechs? would they provide a decent ride? would i be better off with dspecs?

Fenix, I like this option. That said, this will have no other premature wear rate on the OEM struts and no need for camber kits?

Here's a total run down on oem spring rates and drop amounts

2003 oem 350Z springs 314/342
2004 oem 350Z springs 314/342
2004.5+ oem 350Z springs 314/427
2004+ oem 350Z roadster* springs 314/427

2003-2005 G35 coupe all car's delivered from the factory with oem 17's or 18's regardless of build year 314/342
2005 G35 coupe when delivered with oem 19's 314/427

2003-2005 G35 sedan without sport suspension 238/308
2003-2005 G35 sedan with sport suspension 314/342

If oem 350Z springs are run on a G35 coupe you will get a 1/2" drop
If oem 350Z springs are run on a G35 sedan you will get a 1" drop**
If oem G35 coupe springs are run on a sedan you will get a 1/2" drop***

Notes
*Unlike 2004 350Z coupes where midway into the model year Nissan revised the suspension, all 2004 roadster's have the revised suspension and all have the higher

Just match them up and go from there
