The same problem exists if you get coilovers, (wear on inside of tires)... correct?

The problem comes with lowering the car, not with the type of springs you use.

Lowering the car naturally tilts the top of the wheels towards the center of the car. It's a natural reaction due to the suspension geometry. The more you lower the car, the more they tilt, yielding more negative camber.
