DS2500 - Highway Specification
This race developed pad has all the qualities required for a world beating high performance street pad. Its consistent coefficient of friction (0.47) at any temperature low or high gives very predictable bracking and great pedal modulation. This new generation of friction material is very low in compressibility ensuring a firm pedal feel, while still providing great life for both rotor and pad. Combined with the low dusting of the wheels and low noise this product is "the" brake pad for the driver who demands the ultimate in braking performance.
DS3000 - Track / Race Only
DS3000 has set the braking standard since its introduction in 1998. DS3000 has contributed to countless wins and podium positions in many Touring car and GT championships around the world.
DS3000 has
- reduced bedding in time (approx. 50% quicker than other materials)
- extremely high friction level at any temperature or speed
- higher initial bite
- predictability, in all conditions, when bracking into the corner because of the flat
friction curve
- less off brake between the brake pedal and throttle
When using the material with light inertia racing cars, as a general rule it is necessary to apply less brake pedal pressure than you would normally expect. This will avoid overbraking and generation of excessive heat in the braking system and disc. DS3000 is not suitable for road use

JBT - Big Brake Kit
Designed specifically for sport compact performance cars, the Nurburgring | F1 program from JBT Motorsports utilizes forged piston calipers to provide a true lightweight alternative to most competitors cast platforms. Additional weight savings are provided by titanium alloy pistions, increasing strength while resisting heat & fading. Nurburgring | F1 center disks are slotted, providing air cooling and thermal conductivity that is 40% more efficient than conventional disks.

4 piston and 6 piston
4 piston caliper you will see 2 "bumps" which are fit one piston on each side. Brake fluid pushes these pistons outward (Out of the caliper) which pushes teh brake pad against the rotor. The 6 piston is teh same but with 3 per side (Inboard and outboard). Generrally speaking, the more pistons, the more force and the more evenly that force is applied resulting in shorter stopping distances.
I am sure more guys can give you the more scientific definition, but that is it in a nutshell!
