Warranty or no Warranty.. i need help!
hey guys, I just picked up a 03 g35 coupe with 48,500 miles... I was wondering if anyone has been having problems after 50,000 miles and if i should buy a extended warrenty and if i should whats the best one and where to buy???
You should learn how to spell warranty, but to answer your question the people selling the warranties make money on them so for most people it would be better to not buy one.
In other words if you can afford to roll the dice, the odds say what you will spend on repairs will be less than the cost of the warranty.

Your warranty will last until 60k miles so you have some time to decide. Generally its not worth the expense. But its still a roll of the dice. However, it takes some pretty major repairs to exceed the ~$1400 it costs for a good 100k warranty. Just make sure you go through any emerging TSB's before your warranty expires.
only purchase that if it is by infiniti and not a 3rd party deal (which some dealers attempt to sell you, ie, just because its sold by an infiniti dealer doesn't mean the warranty is actually being offered by infiniti corporate).
Read the warranty carefully, make sure it covers all your sensors, etc, because those things do go out and can cost you up to $450 a pop.
Also, the price is negotiable like all other things so bargain. I got mine for $1200, you might do better and get it for less.

Warrenty..............well yea!
Any major problems you may have with your car will
cost more than the price of the warrenty. Make sure
you read the fine print.....in most cases any mods
you make will make the warrenty void/worthless!
I knew a friend that has a 4x4 Ford 1/2 ton truck, he
raised it and put larger tires on. Months later his
motor sucked a valve and the warrenty company
blaimed the mods/denial.......be careful.

Yea but wouldn't you rather have peace at mind knowing that once the 60k warranty's out, you'll have an additional 40K or 6 yrs extra? My extended warranty only costed me $1200 and it's prorated meaning if I'm at 70k and I decide to sell, I get back the difference in cash. Don't know about you but it doesn't seem like they're out there to make money.
Aren't 03' models known for they tranny problems? Imagine being at 65k miles and it goes out? Guess the $1200 sure wasn't a good decision to roll the dice.
