My Lease Offer from Sawgrass Infiniti..Miami, FL

Im asking for opinion on whether i should go ahead with this deal or not.
2006 6mt + aero pkg + sun roof + splash guards + trunk mats+destination+extra freight**

**the car i wanted(trim) was not in the lot, but they did find a car that i liked but they would charge me this extra freight to bring it to the lot?? is this legit or just bull?

My Info:
according to my Consumer Reports Car Report that i purchased this is what the vehicle should cost:
dealer invoice: $31,734 - holdback $960 = $30,774, this is before destination..etc

when i mentioned Holdback to the sales manager he gave me a mean look and said 'forget it'...so i said OK well begin negotiation at invoice then.

i offered $400 over invoice. he said OK. after options mentioned above and the extra mysterious freight, the car will be $34,300, this is before taxes, tag, title, dealer fees...etc

the lease terms offered to me were a 57% residual that i would finance at around 6.5% given a FICO score 700+ which i have. which would bring my payments in at $426-$436 for 3 years or 2 years

So my questions are:

Is this actual price of the car a good deal?
should i consider bringing in my own financing through my own bank or credit union to help bring financing costs down?

HHEELLPP!!! i really want my g35!

Wouldn't an invoice of $31,7xx + $400 over be closer to $32,1xx. Dest should be under $1k, so still ~$33,000. Where did the ther $1,500 come from?

Not that I'm an expert but since I'm also current shopping, 1% ~ 2% over invoice is still a good deal, especially considering there's not a ton of dealer incentives right now and the car is still pretty popular.

For example, my deal is $30, 916 for a 5at w/ sunroof, mats, etc which is right around $300 over. That includes destination charges.

Most local banks and cu don't finance loans but you can always check. Also check out www.loanscompare.com. IFS actually gave me better interest rates then they did, but then again, I'm around 670!

good luck though!

The other $1500 came from the options i mentioned at the beginning of my post.
Sunroof, Aero Package, splash guards, and mats.

Where did you purchase your car escobar??

Are you sure the payment is going to 426 for 3 years? cus base on MSRP of 36290, 57% residual, selling price of 34300 and interest rate of 6.5%(0.00271) the payment would be at 527 and thats not even including the tax, DMV fees...ect how much down payment are you putting down?

according to my Consumer Reports Car Report that i purchased this is what the vehicle should cost:
dealer invoice: $31,734 - holdback $960 = $30,774, this is before destination..etc
31734 is already include the dest charge of 650! and base on you options? the invoice on it, its 33288, plus 400 over that, comes to 33688, so you are paying extra 612 for the freight?, If I was you, instade of paying that extar freight charge, why not just look for the G35 on that lot with bit more option?

400 over invoice isnt really a "good" deal anymore, since most of ppl are paying that last few months(ppl thats on here), but why let couple of hundren dollars kept you from the car that you really want? instade of looking for better price? I would work on your interest rate(M/F), with 700+ score? you should able to get way better rate that 6.5%.

thank you Limeg35.

the closest 6mt on the lot would include premium pkg and were all close to 37k+, way over my budget. $34k is my g-spot. lol

with regards to the interest, this is why i asked if any of you had pursued bringing in your own financing instead of getting financed right at the dealer. ive read most dealers get .5-2% points of what you were financed at for getting that bank the deal. that seems probable right? i mean...these dealers work with many banks, yet they usually select one over the hundreds of bank that are willing to take your loan.

i guess i will offer $200 over invoice for the next dealer i visit. This was the first dealer i went to.

can i get better than 6.5% with a 718 fico score on a lease?? the sales manager explained that lease programs work different than purchase offers. which is why we usually see offers on TV, ".09% finanacing OR $399/mnth for 36 months"....etc.

That payment, ~426 was for a 3 yr lease, not a purchase. with a cap reduction of $1,000 and 15k miles.

From personal experience you can get lower interest rate than 6.5%, back in 03 I did get pre-approved first just to see what rate I would qualified at, I got 5.15% and up to 45k from E-Loan with score of around 690, but somehow I was turned down from Lendingtree , last year I was qualified at 4.3% with score of 740, so yes, yes and yes you can get better rate than 6.5%.

If you had read some of my post, I alway telling ppl if you have doubts about your credit or have not had a car loan for while, try to get yourself pre-approve first, just to see what rate you could get, dont just rely on what dealership telling you, that way? you can tell them with some certainty when comes to negotiating the interest rate, even when I had walk-in with pre-apporved agreement back in 03? they still try to pull a fast on the interest rate, they keep base the payment on 6%

I might be lil bit hard headed but your payment of 426 seem to me is very very low base on your numbers, I calculated few times and with few different variables, I can not come up with 426/mos, either they sell it to you for 32k or with low M/F of 0.0014(3.35%), assuming you pay all the fees out of your pocket plus 1k of cap reduction...so if its indeed 426/mo for 36 mos with 1k cap reduction, even with fees out of your pocket? I would ask them "where do I sign"....here is a thread about the leasing price of other ppl are paying, just to give you some idea of your 426/mos deal.....https://g35driver.com/forums/buying-selling-leasing-discussion/56725-how-much-you-paying-lease-your-g35c.html

I would focus more on your interest rate rather lowering the price by 200, if they lower your rate from 6.5% to 5.28%? it would make 27 bucks difference in your payment, if they lower the price by 200? it will only lower your payment by 6 bucks, then again, every bit helps!

I bought my '06 G auto sedan at Sawgrass. I got mine at invoice ($33,xxx) with premium package C, and splash guards.
I am taking it in on Wednesday for its first oil change.
Best advice to you: shop around.
BTW... Sawgrass Infiniti is located in Sunrise, not Miami.

if you have the free time just to try and save $5-$10 bucks on a lease a month then shop around or else just get the car from where you feel happy with.

Try getting the lease thru Infiniti motors financing arm.

In NYS, I just picked up my new G35X (36month, 15k miles per year, premium C package); I got a 2.95% rate (money factor .00123). Monthly payment is $426. With a 700+ FICO you should be able to get a much better rate and deal. There are incentives but not sure when they end.

Hope this helps.

Do you have a contact for this Infiniti Motors Financing arm. All of the infiniti customer reps are saying I have to take care of that through the dealership, which is BS

that money factor does not calculate out to 2.95% technically. the lease programs ended yesterday and your lease payment could've been around $409 a month
