Yes, another "help me on this deal" question!
Ok, so I've been going back and forth with a couple of dealers in my area and this is the latest offer. It's much better than previous ones, but I still feel like I could do a lot better. Please, tell me what's wrong with this deal and what direction I should head in next. The car is an 06 6mt w/ aero, premium, nav. I am in FL w/ 6.5 tax. Here is what was emailed to me (lease):
"Final selling price $37,505+++ $40,853.89 OTD
$561.54 1st payment
$175 Tag
$100 Fl Doc.
$745 dealer fee
Total inceptions $1581.54 39 months/15k miles per year $527.27+tax"
Thoughts???
thanks in advance, Brian

I cant say much about the payment, cus we dont know your residual and M/F but the selling price is way too high for today's market condition, with your options? the MSRP on it should be 39650 and inovice is 36288. Just a thought on the selling price? someone post early today about how he got an coupe with 3800 off MSRP here in NorCal.
When you leasing? the "OTD" dont mean the same thing as if you are purchasing, most of states, you only pay sale's tax on the deprecations not on entire selling price.

I asked him for more info on the deal. Here it is:
base cap: $37,505
Out the door: $40,853.89
Residual: 57%
MF: .00202
$561.54 1st payment
$175 Tag
$100 Fl Doc.
$745 dealer fee
Total inceptions $1581.54
39/15k miles per year $527.27+tax (FL tax is 6.5%)
Thought maybe this would spur some more responses.

The selling price is 1200 over invoice, which is way too high now days, most ppl are getting 2~500 over invoice last couple of months, Is this offer thru Infiniti? althought your M/F isnt bad (4.85%)but since Infiniti offers low interest rate for purchase, you might want to work on it a bit more.
I would not offer them higher than 525 with tax, if your credit score/history are sound? I would expect around 490 range, but that just one person's opinion.

Doesn't sound that bad to me. I'm not sure where you guys are seeing some of the near invoice prices. I looked around for a few weeks haggeling with different dealerships before upgrading from an '04 6MT to an '06 6MT (purchase), and mine indeed up about $1,200 over invoice. During my haggaling I did get an offer for a $520/39month lease (if I remember correctly) but that was without aero/nav (prem only).
From what I saw getting a deal on a 5AT is alot easier, but now way was I going AT.
Good luck.

Well, this is his latest offer. Again, it's an 06 6mt, prem, aero, nav..
"This is the deal of deals. 39 x 12,000, $1500 t.o.p., $533.22 tax included with approved credit."
He didn't provide specifics this time (MF, residual, etc), but the deal does appear to be getting better.....
