how much?

how much would be the lowest price i could possibly get a good used g35 in the NY/NJ/Conn area? im looking for a new car and ive narrowed down my choices to either a g35 or an '03 acura 3.2 CL type-s6. searching through this forum and the acurazine forum, it seems that the g35 has alot more quirks than the acura though. But the looks of the g35 and the rear wheel drive is what really attracts me (never had a RWD car). any info would help

Good is kind of a realitive term, but I'm guessing that since you are looking at new cars you mean something that is pretty new. I'm not in your area (Cali actually), but I just picked up a fully loaded 6mt with 11,200 miles for $31k.
If that helps any.

As far as the quirks, I not sure what you mean... Maybe if you could elaborate it would help.

However the RWD thing was huge for me. Personally, I prefer to to drive RWD over FWD. Its just too much fun when you can fish tail the back end.

i mean quirks as in little problems here and there, like the grinding gears, occasional seat malfunctions and feeling the windshield wipers through the clutch pedal. Also, ive never had a RWD car, but due to the winter weather here in the northeast, its not recommended (although ive been told to just get a good set of winter tires and ill be ok). But i like the looks of a G35 alot, and im graduating college this upcoming school year so it would be a nice graduation present to myself lol. so now it comes down to pricing, and either FWD or RWD, Acura vs. Infiniti.

I just traded in my 2003 Acura CL Type S for a G35 coupe. The arguement for the Acura is as follows: As far as pricing goes, imho the Acura gives you more bang for the buck. With headers, the CL-S pulled like a freight train, I would say it was easily faster than the G35 w/out mods. The interior quality was right on par with the G35. You can get a lower mileage 6MT for under $20K. It is better in the snow, still not that great though. Arguement for the G: Handling cant even be compared, the G handles fantastic, the CL is like navigating a boat. The G looks MUCH better, just got sick of the CL styling. The G35 holds its value far better than the CL, which depreciates like crazy. This was my thought process in deciding, hope it helps.

would you say that the quality of the interior is better on a g35 or they are equal? and its good that the CL-S responds to mods well, does the g35 do the same? Also, Im not big on the boat handling, i want something thats nimble that i can throw around a little bit and have some fun with! How much is the average price people are paying for a used g35 in good condition?

I would say the interior on the G is perhaps a tad bit better because of the electronics layout. The seats were better in the CL-S. The CL-S responds very well to headers mostly, but mods are very limited for it (SC, pullies, intake, headers..basically). All in all the G is much more fun in my opinion.
