Your numbers dont quite add up, invoice on 5AT with Prem and Sport pkg is 35148 so your price is 485 over invoice, unless there are some other options.

35633 plus 6% sales tax is 37771 so where is other 580 dollars go besides to the DMV fees?

500 over invoice is "fair" price in most places, I'd say go for it, unless you are willing to spend few hours haggles for couple hundrens more off.

Depends on where you live at, but if it is the car you wanted with colors and options? I would've stop "think" about it and just sign the paper work already, and start enjoy driving the car. be cause there always will be other ppl getting their G35 with lower price than you.

I just paid $39,000 for ivory pearl 6MT, navigation, premium package, aero package, XM radio, trunk mat. About $1500 over invoice but whatever, only 3 ivory pearls in the Northeast region left in 6 speed, had to snag it up.

Yes, I know, and its quite possibly in entire United Sates currently as well, I am pretty sure dealership have shown something like inventory sheet to him and let him believe there are only three such equiped car left, but anyone would've think that current model year of G35 coupe still have another 2~3 more months of production time left and there "should" be more coming in.

Too bad we can not do a inventory search on Infiniti's website anymore.

Dude I called every single dealer in the entire New York state, as well as some other states, and not 1 has it in stock, and they even checked and none are on the next boat with those options I wanted.

I think you guys are getting ripped. I went $35k out the door with tax, tags, and the whole shebang for a '04 6MT TB Coupe with Premium. I didn't get the nav cuz it's ghey IMO and I got this back in '04 when Gs were still white HOT and no one in my local area was willing to bargain or even lift a finger to get the car I wanted. I extended my search about 300 miles and finally found a dealership up in NY that was willing to deal with me for the price I asked. The MSRP was $37-38k and that's without the taxes and all that other crap, everything was done over the phone and I simply drove up 4.5 hours to pickup my ride, sign the papers, and drive off.

Hold out, deal, and be willing to call outside of your local market area to find the exact car you want for the price you want. If they added anything else to the car that you don't want/need, ask them to take it off and not charge you. This usually puts the dealership in a situation because taking them off is not worth it for them to knock off a couple hundred bucks. If they still insist on charging you for those items and refuse to take it off, be prepared to walk. They will tug at your emotions to make you pay up and bend over, but if you play it cool and by the numbers, you can win.

Questions...

What was MSRP and invoice on your G35?
What is your sales tax rate and how much is your DMV fees?
Did you have a trade-ins and what is your interest rate if you financing it thru dealership?
What months of year did you made that purchase?

and lasty...

How did you form your opinion that 300 over invoice is been "ripped'?
