Did anybody try to put an ice hockey bag full of gear into the trunk of a coupe? Does it fit? How about sticks? I plan to take my bag next time to the dealer to see if I can do that. It would suck to buy a car and then realize such an annoyance...

I doubt the sticks will go in without dropping the back seat, but there is plenty of room for the bag. Rugby bags are about the same size, and mine goes in with no problem.

My bag fits in the trunk no problem, and I just let my sticks ride shotgun.

Had to drop the seat for my sticks.... The bag was super tight...

Do you mean it sticks out of the window? Did you try to put it blade to the passenger's feet and the shaft between the seats?

Is it for the goalie or skater gear?

I used to play hockey and there is no way in hell my bag would fit in the coupe trunk without the back seat down and I was like 13 when I played so I was pretty small.

LOL not out the window. The blade goes where a passengers feet would go, and the shafts go between the seats.

The bag fits but you have to drop the back seat for the sticks. My g/f won't get in the car if my bag is in the back. As much as I wash and use stinkeeze to get the smell out of the equipment it still smells like a locker room with my bag in the back.

When i had 2 12's in my trunk my bag still fit, I would take the skates and helmet out and put them beside the bag and had no problem at all

you should be able to fit your sticks between the door and the seat with the blades facing towards the foot area in the front seat...

I can fit my hockey bag and my golf clubs in the trunk at once, and just fold down the back seat for the sticks...

Good idea! I saw one guy in a Jetta who carries his sticks like that. I'm gonna give a try also.

Thanks ya'll for suggestions! I'll try a few of the suggestions in practice when I go to the dealer with the full bag and the sticks. I think she may freak out from such an unusual test of the car

All right! Yesterday I went to the dealership and tried to fit my equipment in a coupe. It worked just fine! The bag fills the whole trunk. Sticks fit nicely along the transmission tunnel, with blades in the passenger feet and shaft running between the seats. I also tried to put the sticks between the seat and the side wall. It works but not as conveniently as putting them between the seats.
