i have 85000 miles on my 03. the car blows. ive already spent 450 bucks replacing a window motor, had to replace drivers side seat heater switch, the passenger side seat motor doesn;t work, infiniti wants 600 bucks to fix for a new motor. all of which happened after the warranty was up. the cars rattles like crazy. my infiniti dealer will not replace the pads only on the car, it has to be pads and rotors. but i have to say, the car starts every morning. thats the only good thing. i probably just jinxed myself. bottom line is, i dont think ill ever buy an infiniti again.

50k on mine

Rear tires were shot at 20K
Changed pads at 42k
Rattles, could be due to my aftermarket suspension.

Warranty work:
Headlight housings replaced due to cracking
Driver window motor replaced
Driver seat controls replaced
Head unit replaced due to CD error

Don't worry about most issues as it should all be covered by warranty until 60k miles or 4 years.

03 6MT with 24K miles. No issues whatsoever other than the fuel tank not filling. Covered under warranty. One other issue was the parcel shelf rattling. Took care of that with a TSB as well. Reliably gets 21-26MPG (direct relationship with the right foot pedal), doesn't use oil, starts everyday.

Let me get this straight- you've put 85,000 miles on this car in less than 4 years, and the car blows because you've spent $1000 out of your pocket for repair (not maintenance) work? Not sure what your expectations were, but an awful lot of people would sign up for that experience in a heartbeat. Ask any of your friends that own american cars how often their car is in for repairs (I know a new cobalt ss in 6 times during the first 9 months). As far as your dealer goes- at 27K my '03 brembo pads needed replacement, and the dealer gave me the same story. I told him to machine the rotors and just do the pads, or give me in writing that it was unsafe to do that. He machined them, and I'm almost up to 40k on my original rotors (though I will replace them with my next set of pads). Yes I'm only at 40K, but this car is has been more reliable than my previous and more expensive BMW 528.

I just got my Sedan about 3 weeks ago. 2003 White, beautiful car. I love it, love it. It has 73000 miles on it, about two hundred of it is mine (give or take). Only thing or things I don't like about it at the moment. 1 Bose sucks. At least with this car. I have to upgrade this to something much better. 2, in the morning, and when I start the car after a few hours, its squeals for about 6 or so seconds. More then likely the belt is loose from what I have read. Which should be a simple fix and most likely not worth mentioning as a negative.

Other then that, this car is FAST, strong, so smooth at high speeds (60+mph). I have an automatic with auto-stick, and learning to get used to when to change gears (not ever had driven a stick or a car like this). I've found that getting to about 5k rpm is a good place to shift with almost no shift shock, and in about 3rd gear I'm doing 80 easy. This car sounds so quiet but, with a good smooth sounding engine when getting thru those gears. Like its just sucking in the air and breathing is the best way to describe it for me anyway.

I have no other noises or complaints. This was the car I wanted since they made it and I'm VERY happy I was able to get one for the price I did ($16K for the car with 72k+ miles at the time). Considering I was looking at BMW and Mercedes at the time, and even a Honda Accord (up to $18K). This was the best price with features and truly the car I WANTED to begin with.

Once I get this stereo replaced and the belt tighten. I'll be in heaven

Also, I used Mobile 1 5w 30 synthetic oil when I first got it, and FRAM for the oil filter. Even though I am not a 100K miles yet, I'm going to replace the spark plugs (NGK) and I already (with the oil change) changed the air filter (god knows if it was even ever cleaned or changed), with a K&N brand (was told it last forever). Just wanted to make sure those are good choices and if there are better I'm willing to upgrade to that when the time comes or before I get anything else. Just to keep the car tip top for as long as possible.

Thanks guys
