The effective payment of that IS300 Deal was roughly $750/month or $8.3k total for the 11 months... toss in taxes and it's about a 9k hit. How does that compare to a straight purchase & sale deal? I'm not going to do the math but I bet it's worse by a few grand depending on how well you can well and deal a private party sale...

my good friend purchased a G35 Coupe in 2004. Sticker was around 36760 pretty loaded. he talked them down to around 33 even. put down around 3k, leased for $485/month for 39 mos.

the G has great residual value. His lease will be up summer of 2007 (coming up). his residual value during the lease was 58% which states he can buy out after 39 mos for ~20k. Right now 03-04s are selling for mid 20s. Who's to say he cant buy the car for the 20k, then turn around sell it for 20-22k next year when his lease is over??

sounds like his lease will be up just as the new g comes out... thats what i would do.
My only question is... can you mod your car during a lease?

he has intake and clear corners. something i am sure you can swap out. dealer never gave him issues, so long as the cars returned to stock b4 its turned in.
