So I am financing a used 03 Infiniti G35 for 24,000. Can anyone tell me based on experience how much you can lower your monthly payments? Especially on a used car. I heard dealers make the most money off used cars. I really want to bargain. Tell me your past experience and how much you lowered from original to *now* price. (Monthly payments).

 

I think you are correct on them making money off of used cars however i do not know where to get the data on how much the vehicle cost them. I beleive you could start from the wholesale price, if you can find it, or the trade in price from edmunds/kbb.

But it sounds like you are already settled in on the sale price of your car. Once that is done theres no way "real" way to lower payments. You can extend your loan period if possible, but you'l pay more in the long-run.

You can try to get a better finance rate. Other than that what ever you have financed is what you will pay. I just got a 03 last week, and i took care of all financing outside of the delearship and walked in with a check. From there it was car+tax+ tag done deal

 

Did you get a loan or something from the bank? Do you have good credit? Because I only have a 615 credit score.
