Buying 03, How to talk dealer down? Cash in hand

So i've been looking online all week for the G35 that i want. I found one at a dealer 3miles from my house. It's an 03' 6spd. Fully loaded minus Navi. It has 29,800 miles on it and the dealer is asking for 28,900. I have a voucher in my pocket now for 25,000 from my bank (as i get very good rates from them). Anyone think i could talk them down to 25k OTD? if not what do you think i could get them down to. What should i a say to them to get the price down. I've seen this car on the lot for at least 3 months as i drive past it every day on my way to work. What verbage can i use to haggle this dealer down to my price. I can't spend more then the 25, not even extra cash out of my pocket as I have a wedding to pay for. So please let me know your thoughts.

Tell them you have $25k and that's all you can pay. Show them the voucher. They'll know you're damn serious (not only about the price you want, but also that you're ready to buy right then and there). If they can't sell it at that price, you tell them you have to walk away. They'll call the manager over and they'll discuss it. They'll try to get you to pay more than $25k, of course. Tell them about the wedding - tell them that you can't afford anymore than $25k + taxes, surcharges, fees, registration, etc. Let them know you're serious.
If they don't strike a deal with you immediately, leave your information and wait for them to call. Don't call them. They'll call you back the next day or in a few days after not hearing from you, and they'll offer it to you for $26k. You tell them you were serious about the $25k limit, and they'll think it through carefully, and they'll give you a yes or no.
You don't have to do much negotiating...what you're telling us is that you have a hard limit of $25k to spend. They can't haggle with you, because you don't have more than that. And you don't have to worry about playing the numbers game with them because they know what your bottom line price is. Either they're willing to sell it, or their not.
Dealership sales are slow in January. They might be desperate enough.

Good luck.

P.S. Don't bring "hoes" or a "cahs in hand" to the dealership (like you wrote in your thread title). They might get confused.

I think 28,900 is a little high for the dealer to ask don't you think? A year ago when I was looking for a G Coupe...I saw one at the dealer (Infiniti in Stevens Creek) black on black fully loaded 6mt minus navi just like yours, but it was an '04 with about 24,000 miles.

i got a 03 cb on oct2 for ~24 otd. No navi. 26kmiles. With used it's slightly hard to talk down. They had the car priced at avergae kbb. I walked in and asked how close they could get to the fair value. This was personal sale values that i used. I used that b/c there price was spot on with personal sale.

BTW the wholesale value of the car is roughly 18k.

here is what you do:

You don't go in there at all. Make a copy of your bank draft...fill in the dealership's name as the payee on the copy and fax them the copy of it with their dealership name on it for $25,000 with a cover letter that says "offer to purchase 03 G35 coupe vin / car number XXXX full payment including all applicable state sales tax and fees".

Get the sales manager's name and fax it to his attention.

If they don't go for that amount and call you back with a counter offer, tell them you will consider it, but you are looking at another comparable coupe from a different dealership.

well i went and looked at another G last night, This ones IP with tan leather. Fully loaded with everything. It an 04 with 27k miles. I ran a carfax and it says it was in a minor accident in a parking lot. I couldn't see any signs of the damage that was done. (rear left QP) They are asking 24. So i'm going to offer 22 OTD today and see what they say.

You're hiring a hoe to talk the dealer down?

Good luck, I hope you get the car.

I thought it was a clever idea. It should pan out beautifully.

And if the Manager doesn't want to drop the price, you could always blackmail him for screwing with the hoe!
