Leasing a Demo?
Leasing a Demo?
Hey guys,
I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on leasing a Demo vehicle for 24 months? I've been looking for a black on black and there is only one 2006 model that I've found here in my area. Now the reason I want to lease is because the new coupe is coming out very soon and I don't want to spring for a first model year vehicle. I figure with a 24 month lease I can grab a new coupe when some of the bugs have been worked out and purchase it then.
The car in question has 6000km on it and with a lease, I don't have to worry too much about warranty and things like that. What do you guys think? Any good/bad experiences with demos?

you get the factory warranty from the mileage you pick up teh vehicle at. and also, you save $$ on demos. i get alot of people into demos b/c they want to save a little bit of $$

Hmmm okay, I may take up this offer on the demo then. Since the warranty period will be covering the length of my lease, I should be fairly safe from any major mishaps. Has anyone here actually bought or leased a demo vehicle?
I've never brought or leased a demo but I've sold cars. First thing I would do is find out whose demo it was. Generally dealers will not give someone younger (for lack of a better word; also could use inexperienced or immature) a demo, meaning that more than likely some 35+ man (or woman) was driving the car and hence it wasnt beat on. Salesman and office personnel's cars was shown considerable preferance at the dealers I worked at as far as service goes. I dont even think they paid for service on their demos.
