So a dealership in my town has the following:

2004 DG 6MT
37K miles
Brembos
Tan Interior
Navigation
Premium Pkg

We all know they're asking too much, but my question is what do you guys think a reasonable price would be? As in you wouldnt give more than.....$ ?

Thanks for the help fellas

First of all what dealer is it? If it's an Infiniti dealer then It will be a lot easier to negotiate, they are trying to move a lot to make room for new. With that being said considering this is a COUPE, by the sounds of it, it is...
the KBB TRADE-IN Value for this car is $23,640 meaning that whoever traded this car in that's what they most likely gave him for the car, so this is what they own the car for. Now KBB RETAIL value for this car is $31,610. So A good price for them to sell you this car for would be anywhere below $25,500

My son got his G for 23g out the door. Same as the one your looking at except the color is OB and no Navigation, We found his at a Land Rover dealership. The G owner traded it for a Land Rover.

Yeah that's about $22,500 trade-in value (considering it had 37K miles), so they actually ate some money either because they made their money on TRADE-IN (did you have a trade-in??) or they simply wanted to get rid of it bad. That's not a bad deal.

Thanks for the input guys....when I asked how much the asking price was the salesman told me $29,900 I believe. Its a large independent dealership that sales used cars, so I'm guessing it was either traded-in or bought at an auction...either way you know they have only wholesale value (black book) price in it.

If I could get it for $23K I would definetly do that, but I dont know how much they're willing to negotiate. I do know that the car has been there for at least 2 months tho(I've been eyeing it for a while).

Any one else??

There are so many variables it's hard to come up with an exact price. If the car is in great shape, you may be able to get it for $27K. There's no way that you will get an '04 G coupe with moderate miles in great shape for $23K, at least not in my area.

Go to CarMax and select the nearest location to you. You can then check out what '04 Gs are selling for in your area since CarMax won't drop their asking price. In my area I saw a fully equipped '05G with 16K miles that was offered for $30.5K. I called CarMax the next day to inquire about the car, and they told me that it was sold.

Actually I wouldn't want an '04G coupe with moderate miles for $23K because there would be a 99% chance that there would be story with that car.

Not everything is reported to carfax, my previous car was ****ed up cuz I crashed it a few times acting stupid with it, but fixed it with original parts but when you run car fax on it it comes out clean too.
You are not getting that car for less than $24,000, but you can def start at $24,000 and make your way up, also do you have a trade-in, if you do what is it, do you owe on it and give me all the details on your trade.
