Being lurking around the forum for almost a month now reading your comments. Now I finally decided that I'll buy the 07 G35 Sedan, probably going to add in the premium package as well. But I have some questions. Any advice you have is greatly appreciated!

1) I get a nice employee discount through my company(VPP-D) if I buy a new Infiniti, It's about 1% lower than the dealer invoice for the G35 07. But my boss told me to goto the dealershop, because he walked in last winter, and actually got a 06 G35 at a price lower than the dealer invoice. Is this possible? Or it depends on the time of the year? I am looking to buy one by the end of April.

Basically, should I just opt for VPP-D, or try to haggle myself?

2) Some of my friends also told me that, If I am able to pay for it all up front, they'll be even happier. In fact, my friend claimed that they'll throw in something for free, or knock down the price a bit, if I do decide to pay for it all up front, rather than do one of those financing plans. Is this true? If so, what kind of discount can I get by paying all up front?


3) I never bought a car before, so all this talk on this forum about haggling with the salesmen is a bit intimidating. It'd be better off if I have an idea of what people are paying for a 07 G35 Sedan, probably the xAWD one, with premium package, splash guard, etc. installed. I don't plan to get the NAV Sys. So if you have an idea how much this is going around, please let me know.
