Hey there folks .... welcome the newbie here!!

I am currently in possession of a 03' 6MT w/ 63k miles, Bose, Nav, 18" rims, sunroof & spoiler for a weekend test drive from a local dealer. I can get the car for around $21k. The car is in great condition inside and out. I give the outside a 9.5 (not a 10 due to curb rash on 2 rims ... they will take care of it if I buy the car) and the interior gets a 9. The driver’s seat appears to be the only one that was ever sat in. Normal, expected, wear on the drivers seat, 6 speed shifter and steering wheel. Other than that it is MINT.

Now here are the questions

1) is this a good price considering the data I gave you?
2) is there anything "critical" areas I should give more attention to than others?
3) What is you opinion on extended warranties on this vehicles? They are quoting 2k for a 2 year 24k warranty?

Thanks a bunch for any and all help anyone can give me.

21k sounds like a great price from a dealership to me.

 

i think the mileage is a bit too high..
with $21k u should be able to get one with lower mileage.

yeah i also thought it was a bit high, try to talk them down

 

probably a little late on this reply, but....I think that's a bit high for an 03 6mt with 63K miles. $19K is probably more reasonable. By comparison, in December, I bought my 04 6mt with 43K miles for $18,900--all options except the Nav. And $2000 for a 2year/24K warranty seems high too. By comparison, I was quoted $2000 for a 4year/48K extended warranty...Though the high mileage might have something to do with the higher quote.

 

For private party sale, Blue Book value for an 03 6MT coupe no navigation in Baton Rouge area with 63k is $20,275.
