Just my opinion, so I appoligize in advance to anyone driving 5AT this may offend, but I can't understand how anyone with 2 good legs would even consider driving an automatic G after driving the 6MT

I ordered the 6MT coupe with nav and every goodies except for rear active steer (which I believe will hamper the spirited driving I intend to do).
I drove both, and believe me, the car is an awesome stick. Even if your stuck in traffic. You will regret getting an auto, at least the majority of people do.
Do yourself a favor and do it right the first time, get a 6MT Coupe.

Sometimes I wish I got the manual, but only a couple of times. Drive em both. The manual on the automatic will let you redline. I know some cars shift at certain rpm anywase, but not the G. I love it. Would a Stick be better. Maybe, maybe not.
Less room for error on an auto.

I came from a manual. I was tired of it. Driving in traffic sux with a MT.
Also the MT on these cars are problematic - check the threads... It was one of the main reasons I finally decided against it.
The AT on this car I did not like all that much either at first. It had a delay in shifting and for the life of me I could not get used to the MM mode. I always wanted to alternate movement for shifts (like a manual) and I hit the rev limiter more than I'd like to admit.
With Gord's grounding gear (to minimize the shift delay) and after months of keeping it in MM mode to learn it, I am very happy with 5AT. It is very well designed with a good torque converter and has all the features you'd want with one exception - being able to coast in neutral. You can't just pop the clutch and coast! I wish pushing the little button in MM mode would do this for you (we need someone to figure out how to do this).
So, if you've never driven a manual, you'll love the 5AT model. Once you get used to the MM mode, you can control this car very well. As well as any 6MT. Those who post "why would anyone get a 5AT on these cars" just hasn't taken the time to learn the MM mode. Once it becomes habit, you can shift, and double shift much faster and more consistently than any MT.
Good luck!
