Wow it looks like the 07 Infiniti G35 Sedan lease rates are pretty poor right now!

what are your guys's payments per month on a g35s sedan? i cant imagine paying over 450 a mo...my mom has an 07 m35, put 3k down, 20k miles a year, 24 months and is paying 575 a mo...

msrp was like 55k, how can a 35k car be anywhere near that price range? (granted she did negotiate a good amount, but still)

I don't get why anyone would want a lower residual.

1. If you actually go the full 36 months - then you end your lease with the smallest out of pocket expense. This is the most typical situation so I would think you'd want to plan for this.

2. If you did want to get out early or buy afterwards or whatever - any "savings" you think you were getting, you were actually already paying for on a monthly basis before hand. If the residual was set 10% lower than normal, then your payments on a $35k car would be about $100 more per month.

Think about it - if a "low residual" is such a good thing, then why not just buy the car out day 1 (the equivalent of a 0% residual), and sell the car whenever you want.

You either pay for it now or later. The only difference being that when you have a low residual you are guaranteeing that you pay more per month as opposed to a high residual, where you have a very good chance of paying alot less over the course of the lease.

Depending on your options - a nicely loaded G (NAV, etc) - 15k per year would run about $500 per month. That's with tax, and misc up front fees.

Did your mom pay 3k "down" as a real down payment or is that the tax and fees. If it's an actual down payment then keep in mind that that is the equivalent of $125 per month over the 24 months.

I have a 6MT with the Premium and Nav packages, 15K miles a year, 39 months for $568 plus taxes. I paid nothing up front with the exception of the first payment upon walking out the door.

Friend just leased a G35x with NAV, Tech, Premium, and Wood - 15k per year. $495 per month. Paid first payment, taxes and fees up front (about $3k). No cap cost reduction.
