Yet another lease question

Im thinking about leasing a G35 sedan. The deal is 369 a month for 39 months and a buyout at th end of 18k plus tax. Now 369 * 39 months is about 15.5k. 18k + 15k = 33k which is roughly the price of the car anyways. Im new to this leasing thing so am I missing something?

Theres also a 3.8k sign on

Seems like you obviously lose a bit money, through interest, financing and stuff like that, but not much

Wow $3.8K is a lot of money to put upfront on a lease. If someone nails you and totals your car then you loose that $3.8K. Personally I would never gamble with that much money. Maybe you are different. However, if you have that much to gamble with then you can probably just afford to buy the car in cash and not pay any of the finance charges. The only leases I do are zero down, sign and drive ones.

What is the money factor, residual, miles allowed, and negotiated price? Is this an 07 or 06 sedan?

yeah, so if you add it up, it will equal to almost 37k, which is the right amount. The lease deal is really good for this car if you can take advantage of it. If you think you will want another car at the end of the term and don't want to deal with the hastle of purchasing the leased vehicle and then re-selling it (which will get some of your money back that you paid during the lease back), then I wouldn't suggest a lease.

Don't forget you may be liable to your state for another years worth of registration by taking the 39 month lease (vs 36)

This site will explain in great detail how leases work and what you should expect for a good deal vs. a bad deal. With what you are asking, I would recommend that you spend some time on this site. It was very helpful for me. Good Luck!

I definitely dont like to gamble with 3.8 k, this is the lease offer that they have posted on their webpage. Mileage is 12k a year. Im sure I can haggle it down at an actual dealership.

Im going through the webpage you posted trey's wife, its an awesome resource, thanks

You're very welcome. I was thrilled to find it and I think anyone who is going to lease should at least read through it.
