Lease End

I want to know if anyone here has turned in their vehicle at lease end and actually walked away without the dealer trying to slam you with $$$. I know that when you first lease they always tell you "at the end of your lease if you don't want it just bring it back, no questions asked".

even at the end of the lease, they still might hit you with wear and tear... sucks but it happens.

True but since the wear and tear is such a gray area I want to see if people here felt they were taken advantage of when then didn't go back to a lease or purchase.

This is my first Infiniti lease, but I have seen several others claim an uneventful return of their Infiniti vehicle. About a month before lease end, they are supposed to send a packet which spells out the criteria used to determine wear and tear. Go over that carefully, as to avoid surprises.

Currently Infiniti will "forgive" upto $500 of W&T if you lease/buy another vehicle within 30 days. If you plan to stay in the family, this could be helpful.

Last Thursday, I dropped off my '06 coupe to pick up my '07 sedan. I ended the lease one month early, and the dealer ate the last payment. They never even looked at the car until the salesman went out to swap the plates to the new one. For the record, the car was in mint condition, with only 3,600 miles (12 month lease).
