Just leased an 07 G35 Coupe
Just leased an 07 G35 Coupe
Hi, I just leased a 2007 diamond graphite g35 with Premium, Navi, splash guards, trunk mat and sport package with stone leather interior.
I got it for $36756, MSRP was $40705, I believe invoice was 37156, so I got it at about 400 below invoice. I did the 21 month lease, with 71% residual, and a 0.00157 money factor. I paid all the taxes up front(505.61), a bank fee of 595, dmv 335 and doc fee 45. The payment was 478 a month with 0 down, however I opted to put 1995 down to bring it to 378. I know you are not supposed to put money down on a lease, but I calculated out the cost of the lease with and without a down payment and it saves me 100 or so dollars over the total term of the lease if i put 1995 down.
I think this was a pretty good deal, what do you think? I was surprised by how many dealers were not willing to go below invoice. One dealer actually gave me a quote that was 500 over invoice. When I showed them a competing quote that was 100 under invoice, they said no way, and that their quote was already 2000 below invoice!
Another dealer was going to do right at invoice, but they were only giving a 70% residual. And finally another dealer didn't even want to sell me an 07, the just wanted me to get th g37. I thnk deals are still out there. I am in northern nj, and according to my salesperson, she said that most dealers around here have 10-15 g35's going into august, which she said was a not a bad position for them.
I actually originally wanted a black 6mt, but i was able to get the auto at a much better price.

based on the 478 number its a good deal. I didnt say 'pretty good deal' cause its the out going model and i would have assumed that you could have tired to do better... my deal in 2005 for a 2005 g35c minus nav was 457 with everything else the same as you (ofcourse i didnt put the 1995 down)
and speaking of the down payment... i am skeptical on your approach on putting the 1995 down... hence i rather not comment on it.
but to tell you the truth its a fantastic car... i really miss it ... i gave it up to get the M... and i love the M also... but i miss that grunt!!
so taking that into account ... you can be rest assured you just got yourself into a car which you are gonna love... regardless of the price.... if that ever bothers you ... step in the car and push down on the gas.... the thrill will make you forget all else.
enjoy it ... congrats.

Congrats!
